History of the House

While Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast boasts wonderful hospitality and amenities, it also charms visitors with its gracious history. Built in 1909 by Airhart Marion Fry, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, Caldwell House is a beautiful example of an arts and crafts style home, featuring asymmetrical bay windows, a full front porch, and the simple, clean lines of the four square style of architecture. Situated in the heart of the historic district, Caldwell House is one of many distinctive historic homes.

The Innkeepers

Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast is the culmination of a dream 10 years in the making for innkeepers Deb Ruemmele and Stacy Stang. A love of entertaining and a flair for hospitality led Deb and Stacy to begin searching for the right spot to open a Bed and Breakfast. After a long statewide search they found, fell in love with and relocated to Piqua where they now find great joy in serving guests. Living on site gives them the opportunity to be readily available to their visitors.
